Overview of Features - Take Survey (1/3)

Your survey's respondent web address (URL) is a hyper-link people can click on to take your survey. When they open your survey's respondent web address (URL) in a web browser, participants will see your Opening Statement screen. This screen displays your custom Opening Statement message. If your survey's type is a Feedback Form survey, respondents will skip this screen and go directly to your survey's questions. If you are conducting a Password survey, the Opening Statement screen is where participants must supply your survey's password. If you are conducting a Public survey or Private survey, this screen will prompt respondents for their email addresses. You will not be able to match up these email addresses with a specific set of responses.
SurveyShare will show you a list of the email addresses of respondents who have completed a survey that is Public or Private. However, SurveyShare will only display that information after a survey has collected at least 3 responses. If there are only 1 or 2 responses, the email addresses are hidden from the investigator to preserve anonymity. Furthermore, the order that the individual results are displayed does not match the order of the emails in the list of respondents' addresses.

Q: Do people have to enter an email address to access my survey?
A: SurveyShare offers an Unsecured survey type which does not require any input from the respondent on the Opening Statement screen. If you opt to conduct an Unsecured survey, your participants will see your custom Opening Statement, and a green Continue button that will lead them to your online questionnaire. SurveyShare also offers a Feedback Form which does not have an Opening Statement screen, and does not require any input from the respondent before they can access your survey questions.
